behind the camera
Hi, I am Isaac Williams ‘
I am currently a student at Syracuse University's S.I Newhouse School of Public Communication as a Visual Communication major with a focus on Photojournalism.
I am dedicated to visualizing sports and other events through the eyes of a lens. As a visual storyteller, I focus on capturing authentic moments, emotion, and movement to create compelling narratives that connect audiences to the action and atmosphere of each event.
Through my work, I strive to continuously refine my technical skills while developing a strong visual voice. I am motivated by the challenge of telling meaningful stories in real time and am always seeking opportunities to grow, collaborate, and document moments that matter.
My experience
I am currently working as a photographer for three organizations on campus including TheNewsHouse.com, Daily Orange, and SU Athletics (Intern).
I spend my summer in Tyler Hill, PA as a full time photographer for Tyler Hill Camp.
TheNewsHouse.com - Cover sporting events across all seasons for digital publication. On assignment, I photograph, edit, and caption images to send in. As a sports photojournalist, my job is to know the teams I am photographing as well as any other information the editors request.
Tyler Hill Camp - Take high-quality photographs of campers, staff, and camp activities. Edit, organize, and upload photos for easy access for current and future social media opportunities. Work with a small group to capture all 500+ campers every day.
Syracuse University Athletics - Cover sports games and sports-related events around the Syracuse campus for the athletics department. Photography, videography, photo editing, and social media posts for all SU athletic teams. Help with setting up, taking down, and photographing for athlete media days.
